I doubt it’s over saturated, I be getting leads and jobs everyday on thumbtack and only have a 2.5 gpm Simpson, I just quote 50-100 dollars less than other pross and always get the jobs🙂‍↕️ idc what others say they don’t make nothing while I make a lot by just leaving couple bucks on the table 😂 in 2 months I alrd bought a 4gpm driven belt and some other stuff just need a trailer and some other things to have a whole trailer set up 😎 and it’s been only 2 months peak season ain’t even here yet

700 dollars to fix a light seems like a great scam to me, you should go over and fix the light yourself. That way you get to have customer contact again and can make her experience great again. Make her aware of those terms and service, say that you want to fix it since she’s a long time returning customer. Ask her to write a review as a thank you for the free service.

I won't quit is the right kind of attitude. Everything you said takes me back to my beginning days. I took whatever work I could get, sometimes regrettably, but the good customers did come along and I took good care of them. Today, I have a handful of excellent customers who have me booked through the next several months. It's all about attitude. I'll add to your excellent advice to always provide the best service you can. Even if it's not making good money now, the higher paying customers will notice and they will pay more to come work for them.

Well it depends. How much money have you made from her? If it’s a regular gig and she pays then I’d try to split the electrician’s bill with her. But it really depends on how much money we’re talking about and what influence she might have on other potential customers.

If you’re really want something you just have to go and get it. You only go as far as you want to go. When doing a business you make your money and don’t start going crazy and start buying things you really don’t need. Every time you get paid take that money and save it and never count on that money for nothing else only necessities. Too many people want to start a company and the first thing they buy is an expensive car or chain. A gentleman in my city started out doing landscaping and snow removal. In 2015 he made 10 times the amount that he would usually make because of the record setting snowstorm. When the state payed him he took the money and bought himself a really expensive corvette. He didn’t save any of that money, he didn’t get new equipment, didn’t buy a house and ended up selling the car for a lesser price but began losing customers because when he had the corvette he was more concerned about looking good in the car and not staying serious about the company he’s trying to build. Now his company is back to the start from the beginning and hardly making $90.00 a month.
